hccfrenzy:

Mental health awareness is something that we care deeply about here at Frenzy. According to Statistics Canada, young people aged 15 to 24 are more likely to experience mental illness and/or substance use disorders than any other age group. In honour of World Mental Health Day, we are sharing a few of our recommendations for YA books that address mental health issues:

Falling into Place / It’s Kind of a Funny Story / The Half Life of Molly Pierce / Don’t Touch / Say What You Will / The Last Time We Say Goodbye / My Heart and Other Black Holes / Kiss of Broken Glass / Wild Awake

For more recommendations, our friends at yahighway put together a Mental Health in YA reading list with great suggestions. If you have a book you’d like to recommend, let us know.
